Larry Veeder

Six Good Samaritans died and two others were injured when they were run over by a van while assisting with an earlier car accident at the intersection of Nowell and Chapel Hill roads in Raleigh. Authorities say Larry Veeder, who was driving the van, had a blood-alcohol level of .18 percent -- more than twice the state legal limit.

Bryan Tutor, 29, of Coats, leaves behind a wife and 5-month-old baby. Tutor went to the N.C. State/Virginia game at Carter-Finley Stadium with his friend,
Dennis Bowes, 28, who also died in the wreck.
Christopher Clemmons, 41, lived down the road from the crash site. Family members say, after the first accident, he went to see if he could help.
Robert and Jean Marie Alfaro, the other two victims, were in town visiting from the Charlotte area.
